Save the Salton Sea
The Salton Sea is drying up, and with it, our communities, ecosystems, and economy are at risk. A tunnel to the Pacific could be the solution—but why hasn’t it been built? Millions have been allocated, yet nothing changes.
We’re investigating wasteful spending, demanding action, and pushing for real solutions. The money exists—let’s make sure it’s used to save the sea.
Join us, Speak up, and Take action.

Our Mission

Water Conservation
The Salton Sea is facing an ecological disaster—rapid water loss, extreme salinity, and toxic dust storms threaten both wildlife and human health. Without intervention, this crisis will accelerate, endangering communities and ecosystems. Tunnel to the Sea is committed to real, sustainable solutions, including researching and advocating for large-scale water restoration projects like a tunnel to the Pacific Ocean.

Advocacy Efforts
Millions of dollars have been allocated to Salton Sea restoration, yet mismanagement and inefficiency have left the crisis largely unaddressed. We are committed to holding decision-makers accountable, ensuring that resources are directed toward real, effective solutions. Through lobbying, public outreach, and collaboration with innovators, we push for projects that will deliver lasting environmental and economic benefits.

Community Engagement
Restoring the Salton Sea requires bold thinking and collaboration. We are building a movement—engaging concerned citizens, scientists, engineers, and policymakers to explore groundbreaking solutions like water imports and ecological engineering. By mobilizing collective action, we can turn the tide and transform the Salton Sea into a thriving, sustainable environment for generations to come.
